Since an early time during my childhood, I became passionate about aviation and aerospace industry. I started getting involved with aviation by playing Flight Simulator 2004 and X on a virtual network called IVAO where I logged several hours as a pilot and ATC. The development of features within Flight Simulators also sparked my curiosity about software development, and it introduced me into debugging and simple scripting to resolve issues or implement new features within the simulator.

I moved from my hometown in Cucuta, Colombia to Daytona Beach, FL where I started my bachelors in Aerospace Engineering at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU), and I graduated in December 2016. During my bachelors, I also obtained my FAA Commercial Pilot License. I worked as a physics tutor where not only I was able to help people understand physics, but I also built great relationships with tutors and students. I also worked at Rockwell Collins as a systems engineer in a great project focused on the auto-landing system of Bombardier's CS100 and CS300 aircraft.

I have graduated with distinction with a master of science in Aerospace Engineering with emphasis in dynamics and controls at ERAU. I have decided to move into the workforce after several years of research at the Eagle Flight Research Center (EFRC). My research included projects with the VTOL design for VerdeGo Aero, a startup company, and HorizonX from The Boeing Company. My research was heavily focused on optimization of hybrid-electric propulsion systems for aircraft. Even though I am no longer working at this research facility, my development in this area did not come to a stop. I worked for several years at Cummins in the development of hybrid and electric powertrains for linehaul and pick&delivery trucks.

My professional career has taken a new path, and I will be sharing details about it in the future!
