INVOLVEMENT AT SHPE
I became an active member of SHPE in January 2017 shortly after graduating from my B.S. in AE. During my first semester at SHPE, I earned an award due to my active participation with the ERAU chapter: SHPE “Las Aguilas” chapter Most Up & Coming Award April 2017. The next semester after receiving this award, I was appointed as the Graduate Ambassador by the e-board which allowed me to start exploring the leadership field within the local chapter.
I attended the 2017 National Conference at Kansas City, Missouri. During this conference, I presented a poster about my research at the Eagle Flight Research Center about hybrid-electric propulsion. I was awarded the 3rd place among the more than 30 competitors.

During Spring 2018, I was a committee volunteer at SHPE's R7 Regional Leadership Development Conference (RLDC) which was hosted at ERAU. I helped with the organization for the transportation to and from the corporate tours as well as leading the corporate tour at the Eagle Flight Research Center. I also volunteered on different tasks during 5 workshops, the career fair, and the gala.

During my time at SHPE, I was awarded SHPE's Graduate Scholarship in 2017-2018 and 2018-2019
As a professional, I continue to participate in the SHPE conferences. Even during COVID, I supported my employer through screening events and selected the top candidates for interviews. In 2023, I participated at the national conference in Salt Lake in screening and interviewing activities for intern and full-time positions within my organization for my current employer.
